RCMP investigates theft of lobster, Cape Sable Island, N.S.

2016/1/15 Barrington RCMP is investigating a theft of live lobster. The theft occurred sometime in the overnight hours of Tuesday January 12 to Wednesday January 13. A preliminary investigation has determined that approximately 48 crates of live lobster were stolen from an outdoor pound at a business on Cape Sable Island. Each crate contained 100 lbs. of lobster. Barrington RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed this crime, or has information about this crime, to call Barrington RCMP at 902-637-2325 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also text TIP202 + your message to 'CRIMES' (274637) or access Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
