Halifax District RCMP responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision earlier this morning.
At approximately 8 a.m. this morning, Halifax District RCMP and EHS attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Beaver Bank Rd and Glendale Dr.
Preliminary investigation determined a man was crossing at the intersection of Glendale Dr and Beaver Bank Rd in a cross walk when a vehicle turned left off of Glendale on to Beaver Bank Rd and struck the man.
The 18-year-old Sackville man was treated and released at the scene by EHS for minor injuries. The 60-year-old male driver from Halifax was issued a summary offence ticket under section 125(1) of the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. This offence carries a fine of $693.95 and four points on a driver’s license upon conviction.
