RCMP investigating attempted armed robbery, Pictou, N.S.

Pictou District RCMP is investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred approximately two hours ago. On Sunday at approximately 8 p.m., RCMP responded to an attempted armed robbery that occurred at the Irving on Church St.

On Sunday at approximately 8 p.m., RCMP responded to an attempted armed robbery that occurred at the Irving on Church St.

Preliminary investigation determined that a lone male armed with a weapon entered the business and demanded money. A short time later, the suspect left the business empty handed and walked to a light green Chrysler Sebring parked a short distance away. The suspect is described as 5′ 8′, approximately 190 lbs and stocky. He was wearing a blue hoody, a white cap and a towel with eye holes cut out. No further description is available.
