RCMP investigation leads to an arrest in England, Halifax, N.S.

An investigation conducted by the provincial RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit leads to an arrest. The RCMP ICE Unit conducted an online luring and extortion investigation involving a 17-year-old male residing in Dover, England.

The RCMP ICE Unit conducted an online luring and extortion investigation involving a 17-year-old male residing in Dover, England.

On October 27th, 2014 police in Kent, England executed a search warrant at the residence of the youth and arrested a 17-year-old male. The young man is accused of luring and extorting an underage female resident of North Eastern Nova Scotia.

The male is currently under investigation for Blackmail, Possession of Indecent Photographs of Children and Inciting Child Pornography. He has been released from custody with numerous conditions, His next appearance is April 30, 2015 in Kent.

The RCMP encourages members of the public to report any online child sexual exploitation to your local police or Canada’s National tip line at cybertip.ca.
