RCMP Kings District investigate a robbery, New Minas, N.S.

Kings District RCMP are investigating a violent robbery that occurred in the early morning on Sunday, October 12th, 2014

At approximately 2:50 a.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a report of an assault occurring in a rear parking lot of a business on Commercial Street, New Minus.

A 19 year-old male was assaulted by a group of approximately three or four males as he left a nightclub with an unidentified female. The male suspects fled with the man’s wallet and cell phone. The man sustained minor injuries as a result of the altercation.

Kings District RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has any information on the incident to call the detachment at 902-542-3817 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 – $2000.
