Lunenburg District RCMP are investigating a complaint of pointing a firearm involving a 31-year-old female suspect.

On April 24th, 2015, the suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at another person during an incident at a residence on Highway 3 in Chester.

Yesterday, RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway 3 and a second search warrant at a Green St. residence in the Town of Lunenburg. During the searches, the accused was arrested at the Chester location and three handguns were seized.

The accused was later released on conditions and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on July 15th, 2015 to face numerous firearms related offences. The investigation continues and additional charges may be laid. Both the accused and the victim are known to each other.
