Antigonish County RCMP investigate stabbing, Afton, N.S.

Antigonish County RCMP is investigating a stabbing incident that took place earlier this morning. At approximately 3:50 a.m., RCMP and EHS responded to a stabbing incident that occurred at a residence on Highway 4 in Afton.

At approximately 3:50 a.m., RCMP and EHS responded to a stabbing incident that occurred at a residence on Highway 4 in Afton.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 29-year-old man from Afton had been stabbed in the face by another man. The victim was transported to St. Martha’s Hospital by EHS with non life-threatening injuries. An RCMP police dog was called to the scene but no suspect was apprehended. The victim has since been released from hospital.
