RCMP Lay Homicide Charges – Chester

RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit have charged a 22-year-old Chester Basin man (residing in Montreal) with First Degree Murder in the homicide of Victoria Brauns-Buckley.

Today, at approximately 1 p.m. officers from the Southwest Nova Major Crimes unit arrested John “Jack” Buckley along Highway 103 near Chester.  Buckley is facing a charge of First Degree Murder.

Victoria Brauns-Buckley was found dead in her was found in her Borgels Point Road home in Chester Basin on March 2, 2012.

He will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on Monday April 11 at 9:30 a.m.  The investigation is continuing.
