RCMP make an arrest in missing person’s case, Framboise, N.S.

The RCMP Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit has made an arrest in relation to the murder of Michelle Demers-Kennedy. On May 12th, 2013, 58-year-old Michelle Demers-Kennedy was reported missing from her residence on Three Rivers Road in Framboise, Richmond County.

The RCMP Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit has made an arrest in relation to the murder of Michelle Demers-Kennedy.

On May 12th, 2013, 58-year-old Michelle Demers-Kennedy was reported missing from her residence on Three Rivers Road in Framboise, Richmond County.

Extensive searches by the RCMP in conjunction with the Cape Breton and Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue Teams in the area near Demers-Kennedy’s residence failed to locate the missing woman.

As the result of a seven-month investigation, investigators continued to pursue a number of leads and a 30-year-old Framboise male was arrested without incident yesterday at his residence. He will be appearing in Sydney Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. this morning. The investigation continues.
