RCMP on scene of a barricaded person, Lower River Inhabitants, N.S.

The RCMP is currently dealing with a barricaded person in Richmond County.

At approximately 1 p.m., Richmond County RCMP received a call that a 55-year-old man was threatening to harm himself at a Lower River Inhabitants Rd.

residence. When police arrived and attempted to speak to the man, he barricaded himself inside the residence. The man is alone in the residence.

Officers have contained the area and traffic is being diverted.
