RCMP remind motorists to drive safe on Easter weekend

As the first long weekend of the year approaches, the Nova Scotia RCMP Traffic Services are advising motorists to keep road safety in mind as they hit the roads visiting friends and family.

Spring may be in the air but the RCMP would like to remind motorists to be aware of the potential for freezing road conditions during the evening and early morning hours.

Spring can bring sudden heavy rains and if you get caught in a sudden down pour, do not use your cruise control. This will help reduce the chances of hydroplaning with the sudden build up of water on the roads.

Please drive safe this Easter Weekend and do your part to keep all Nova Scotian roadways safe.
