RCMP respond to complaint of shots fired, Springhaven, N.S.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., RCMP Yarmouth Rural Detachment members were responding to a disturbance call at a Springhaven residence. While en route, a second call came in indicating shots had been fired.

Upon arrival, one vehicle, containing three passengers, had been shot at. No one was injured.

The Yarmouth RCMP Forensic Identification Section, along with Police Dog Services attended. A residence was searched and a number of firearms (long guns) were seized.

A 59-year-old male and a 56-year-old female from Springhaven have been arrested and remain in police custody. The investigation is ongoing.
