RCMP seek assistance in finding stolen medal collection

RCMP in Cole Harbour are requesting the public’s assistance in finding a medal collection that was stolen from a property in Lake Echo.

On October 2nd, 2014, RCMP in Cole Harbour received a call of a theft of a rare collection of 50 medals and other collectible memorabilia.

  Stolen from a property in Lake Echo were medals dating back to 1909 and were from various countries and military organizations.  The collection was stolen between September 22nd and September 26th, 2014.

If you have any information regarding this theft or any other unsolved crime, you can contact any RCMP office, Halifax Regional Police, or Crime Stoppers anonymously anytime at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by their Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.  Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.
