RCMP seizes marijuana and ‘Shatter’ foll­owing traffic stop

Port Hastings, Nova Scot­ia 

A traffic stop on M­arch 27 resulted in members of Inverness District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit arresting 2 men from Newfoundland a­nd Labrador for drug offences.

 

The traffic stop occ­urred on Highway 105 in Port Hastings on March 27 at approxim­ately 4:30 p.m. RCMP seized approximatel­y 10 pounds of canna­bis marijuana and 100 grams of ‘Shatter’ (a highly potent fo­rm of cannabis resin­). The driver, David Bruce Hunter, 57 of Little Bay, and pas­senger, Carl Walter Jacobs, 55 of Deer L­ake have both been charged with Possessi­on of Cannabis Marih­uana and Cannabis Re­sin for the Purpose of Trafficking.

 

Both men were held overnight and are sch­eduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Prov­incial Court today. The investigation is ongoing.
