Saturday, November 27, 2010, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)…….Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Halifax District, Street Crime Unit, conducted a traffic stop at Queen Street, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at 10:34 hours. The driver of the vehicle, Robert Joseph HEBERT( B. 1985-May-21 ), was arrested without incident, for driving while suspended and on an outstanding warrant. A loaded 22 caliber handgun was seized from the vehicle when it was searched.

Robert Joseph HEBERT has been charged with the charges below. He has been remanded to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 0930 hours.

Careless use of firearm, 86 (1) C.C.
Carrying Concealed Firearm, 90(1) C.C.
Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, 91(2) C.C.
Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is unauthorized, 92 (2) C.C.
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a motor vehicle, 94 C.C.
Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, 95 C.C.
Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, 88 C.C.
Fail to Comply with a Recognizance, 145 (3) C.C.
Fail to Comply with a Recognizance, 145 (3) C.C.
Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order 117.01 C.C.
Fail to appear for court 145 (5) C.C.
Fail to comply with Recognizance 145 (3) C.C.
The matter remains under investigation.
