From RCMP:

Friday, September 24, 2010 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S….Over the past couple of nights, members of Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have responded to nine incidents of Theft from Motor Vehicle.

Vehicles in the areas of Beaver Bank (1), Lower Sackville (3) and Fall River (5) have been affected.  The vehicle breaks took place on Pine Oak Dr., Fletcher Dr., Robinson Dr., Foster Ave, Sapphire Cres, Rivendale Dr., Sampson Dr., and Rankin Dr.

HRM Partners in Policing would like to remind everyone to lock their vehicles keep put valuables out of sight, preferably not leaving them in the vehicle at all.  Thieves will break into any vehicle if they think there is something of value to be stolen from it.  Even a small amount of loose change left in plain site can be enough to tempt a would-be thief.  Report suspicious activity or persons to police immediately by calling 911.  This could save you or your neighbour from becoming a victim of a crime.
