RCMP warn people of scam, Pine Grove, N.S.

The RCMP is warning the public of a telemarketing scam in which a caller alleges they are raising money on behalf of the RCMP. On Thursday July 23, 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m.

On Thursday July 23, 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m.

, Lunenburg District RCMP received a complaint that a citizen received a phone call from a female collecting money on behalf of the RCMP for anti-bullying programs. The caller asked for credit card information. The citizen did not provide any personal information to the caller and when they asked for the callers name, the call was abruptly ended.
