Registration for winter programs begins tomorrow

Registration for Preschool and Adult winter programs begins tomorrow, October 19. This excludes skating and aquatics.

Registration for Child and Youth programs begins October 20, and registration for all Skating and Aquatics programs begins December 14.

There is something for everyone. Here are just a few examples of activities available through the HRM rec program:

Why not join your preschooler for a Parent & Tot Playtime? Or enroll him/her in Little Kickers Soccer?

Adults can register for Co-ed Indoor Soccer or Zumba.

Your child can participate in Art classes, or Learn to Sledge.

Youth can participate in Box-Fit, or sign up for the Red Cross Babysitting Course.

Program Catalogues are available at recreation and HRM Customer Service Centres, Libraries, Ferry Terminals and all HRM Sobeys locations, or you can visit www.halifax.ca/rec.

How to register:

Web: www.halifax.ca/rec. You need a RecConnect client number and RecConnect family PIN, course codes for first choice and alternates, a valid credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express) and expiry date.

Phone: 490-6666. You need course codes for first choice and alternates, a valid credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express) and expiry date.

Rec Centres: Cash, cheque, debit card or a valid credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express) and expiry date.

What can you do to speed up your registration process?

1. Make sure your account is set up for online registration.
2. Remember to have your credit card and course code ready!
3. Browse through the catalogue and make any program inquiries prior to the start of registration for each season.
