Residents are invited to the grand opening of the Arnold D. Johnson sports field this Saturday, July 21, in North Preston.
The opening, which will coincide with the annualNorth Preston Days event will feature planned activities including bubble soccer, field games, and refreshments. Elected representatives from the Halifax Regional Municipality and the Government of Canada will also be providing remarks.
Grand Opening Event:
When: Saturday, July 21 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 855 Upper Governor Street, North Preston
Named after Arnold D. Johnson, a former Halifax County Councillor, veteran, and active community member, this field will serve as a public greenspace for the community for many years to come.
