Residents invited to participate in 2018 Citizen Survey

The Halifax Regional Municipality is looking for input from residents on several topics in its 2018 Citizen Survey.

The survey, which is now accessible on theHalifax.ca website, seeks feedback on citizen priorities and thoughts about various programs and service areas.

This is the ninth time since amalgamation that the municipality has undertaken a Citizen Survey. The last survey was in 2014.

Citizen Survey results provide Regional Council and administration with valuable insight into what matters most to residents. The findings help identify municipal priorities and inform future decisions.

From July 30 to Aug. 19, approximately 12,000 randomly selected households received invitations to fill out the survey either online, in written form, or over the telephone. Now the online survey is open to all residents (until Sept. 16) to provide their input. Results will then be tabulated and shared with Regional Council.

Findings from this year’s survey will also be posted on the Citizen Survey webpage, along with previous survey results, at www.halifax.ca/citizensurvey
