Richmond County RCMP investigate stabbing, Louisdale, N.S.

Richmond County RCMP are investigating a stabbing that sent a 21-year-old Louisdale man to hospital with serious injuries.

At 11:53 p.m. on January 23rd, 2015, Richmond County RCMP responded to a 911 call of a stabbing.

The investigation revealed that a 21-year-old Louisdale resident had been stabbed a number of times by a four males between the ages of 17 and 21 years. The victim was transported to St.Martha’s Hospital where he remains in serious condition.

RCMP arrested 18-year-old Richard David Polchies as well as a 17-year-old male youth, both from Potlotek. The males are charged with attempted murder and have been remanded into custody to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on Monday January 26th, 2015.

All individuals were known to each other and this was not a random act. RCMP continue to search for the two remaining suspects, who remain at large. The investigation is ongoing with Richmond County RCMP and the Inverness/Richmond Street Crime Unit.
