Make Me Tonight Monday!
Seriously this is a joke of a recipe, but these delicious little peas can be enjoyed hot or cold, at home or even as a snack at the movie theatre. These roasted chick peas are a great protein and fibre rich snack on their own, but you could also toss them into a salad for a bit of kick to a boring lunch.
This recipe is such a hit, and it is SO easy to prepare. Literally all you need to do is rinse the chick peas under running water, and dry them on some paper towel. In a small bowl combine the spices together, set aside. Coat the chick peas is some olive oil preferably a good tasting one, and then just sprinkle them with the spice mixture. Make sure they are all well coated. Transfer the chick peas to a cookie sheet, you could use parchment paper if you wanted, but I didn’t bother. Then just bake on 350 for 25-30 minutes (depending on your oven).Ingredients:
1- 2 cans of no salt added chick peas
1 Tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp paprika
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Pinch of onion saltHappy Monday,
