Robbery At Lacewood Drive Needs Store This Morning

 
Investigators assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning in Halifax.
 
At 6:25 a.m., officers responded to the Needs Convenience store at 70 Lacewood Drive after a man entered the business, motioned he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot down Lacewood Drive with lottery tickets. No weapon was seen and no one was hurt.
 
The suspect is described as a black man in his thirties, 5’6” and 160 lbs. with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black jeans and a dark hoodie covering his head.
 
At this time, investigators are in the early stages of the investigation. Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact police at 490-5016.
