Robbery Attempt On Chestnut Street

At 9:36 pm Sunday evening,a robbery was reported, 1600 block of Chestnut St, Halifax. 
A 25 year old male was walking when he was approached by another male, who demanded everything he had, the victim observed the suspect with a knife.  Victim fled to a doorstep of a nearby house.  Male suspect did not get anything from the victim, victim was not injured, suspect fled on foot. Area was checked by police and K9, but suspect was not located.
Suspect description: white male, 20-25 years old, slim, 5’11, reddish hair, red hoodie, dark colored scarf covering his face.
