ROC Hosting Community Conversation

conversation-photos-002 Join the ROC Board of Directors for a Community Conversation The Resource Opportunities Centre (ROC) will be hosting a Community Conversation on Wednesday, 4th May 2011 at 7:30pm in the multi-purpose room at the Prospect Road Community Centre.

  • Everyone is welcome!
  • We want to hear from you.
  • Are you enjoying the new Community Centre?
  • Are there other programs and services you would like to see offered at the facility?
  • Would you like to teach a class?
  • Do you have ideas about what else we need at the Community Centre or in the Prospect area?
  • If you are not using the Community Centre, we would like to hear why.

Since opening the doors of the Prospect Road Community Centre last summer the facility has been a hive of activity with programs for all age groups. Children’s day camps and the before and after school programs have been well received, and offer affordable childcare to many families.

Formal and informal exercise programs for all skill levels and ages are offered through a wide range of activities including the popular Fitness Centre. Public computer and Internet access is available at no cost through the satellite C@P site located in the Indoor street.

The facility hosts meetings of community and special interest groups, as well as private rentals for celebrations, dances and birthday parties, all of which increase social and cultural opportunities for residents from Goodwood to West Dover.

The Prospect Community Centre has had an incredible first year of operations and we would like to build on our initial successes by listening to residents and responding to their requests. So please mark your calendars and plan to join us.

Everyone is invited, so bring along a neighbour or friend and join us on May 4th. We want to hear from you. Come and tell us what you think.
