Sackville and South Park streets – Demolition Work

Wednesday, April 6, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising pedestrians and motorists there will be intermittent interruptions along parts of Sackville and South Park streets until Friday (April 8), while crews continue the demolition of the old CBC building. Contractors will be demolishing the corner of the building, resulting in some pedestrian and vehicular delays during the day. Traffic will not be disrupted during typical rush-hour periods (7 a.m. until 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.). The municipality regrets any inconvenience these delays or the demolition work may cause; however, we would remind residents that these steps are necessary to ensure the public’s safety.
