Sackville Splash Pad opening delayed

Thursday, June 30, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Sackville Splash Pad located on First Lake Drive in Lower Sackville, will not open as planned on Canada Day, Friday, July 1. The municipality is unable to open the splash pad due to deficiencies with the facility’s electrical components that must be addressed before it can properly function. Work to resolve this issue is currently underway, and it’s anticipated the splash pad will be open for regular use within the next two weeks. In the interim, residents can cool off at one of the other municipal beaches, outdoor pools and splash pads located around the region; for a complete list of locations visit www.halifax.ca/rec/Aquatics/Beaches.php. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this facility closure may cause. Source: Release
