SAERC Student awarded with prestigious RCMP Youth Award, Port Hawkesbury, N.S.

A 16 year old Strait Area Education and Recreation Centre (SAERC) student has been awarded the prestigious RCMP Port Hawkesbury Outstanding Youth Award.

Morgan Bona, grade 11 student, has been a member of the RCMP-SAERC Joint Youth Council and the Nova Scotia Representative to the RCMP Youth DEAL.org Program.

In addition, he has assisted with several police-related programs such as Anti-Bullying programs and MADD Inverness South.

The RCMP Port Hawkesbury Outstanding Youth Award is the highest youth award presented to a community partner in Inverness District.
