The RCMP in partnership with the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources want to wish everyone a fun and safe 2014 Clare Canoe Rally being held on April 18th, 2014.
RCMP and DNR advise alcohol consumption and failure to wear personal floatation devices are the most common causes of water-related death and accidents. Just as seatbelts save lives on our highways, so do personal floatation devices when out on the water.
It is also important for people planning to attend this event on All Terrain Vehicles to familiarize themselves with all laws regulating the use of such vehicles as law enforcement agencies will again this year be part of the Canoe Rally to ensure that everyone can enjoy this event safely and without incident.
