My youngest daughter loves “stuffies.” She takes very good care of her stuffed animals and insisted that when we moved that they were all neatly packed in a box standing up. (It took me a while to convince her that they would be ok in a box and that it would be an adventure for them to see where we lived when we open the box up again in a few weeks).

This week, another member of her stuffie family arrived on our doorstep. Meet #Hiya.

Every year, Starlight Children’s Foundation releases a collectible bear that has been designed by a child living with a serious illness. Toys”R”Us Canada will donate a portion of the bear’s sale to Starlight Children’s Foundation to help support their in-and-out of hospital programs. This initiative not only supports the foundation, but gives a Starlight child the chance to have fun designing the bear. 

 #HIYA is the 6th collectible bear of Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada. He was designed by brothers Matteo (5) and Nicco (3) who have both been battling cancer. HIYA is modeled after Matteo and Nicco’s favourite blanket and is one of the softest, cuddliest bears I have every hugged!

HIYA is available for purchase at Toys “R” Us stores across Canada and at bit.ly/hiyabear. A portion of the proceeds go to Starlight Children’s Foundation.
