At approximately 8:40 pm on February 27th, members of the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of members of the Halifax Regional Police Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Ketch Harbour Rd, in Ketch Harbour.  As a result of the search, police located a handgun, a loaded shotgun, several other long guns as well as quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine, cannabis resin, drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash.
 
A 40 year old man from Ketch Harbour, was arrested and remanded into custody for the weekend and is scheduled to appear in Halifax court on Monday February 29th to face weapons charges under the Criminal Code, as well as charges of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
