Serious Accident In Lower Sackville Saturday Afternoon

May 3, 2014, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) … Halifax RCMP are investigating a motor vehicle collision that resulted in four people being injured. 
 
At approximately 12:20 p.m. this afternoon, RCMP noted a vehicle travelling north on Cobequid Road, Lower Sackville at a very high rate of speed.  Police activated their emergency equipment and within moments, the vehicle crashed near the Ultramar Gas Station on the corner of Glendale Road and Cobequid Road.
 
The investigation into the collision is in it’s preliminary stages however police can confirm that two cars, one bicycle and five people were involved in the crash.  Four people were transported to hospital with unknown injuries.  The crash remains under investigation by Halifax RCMP and an RCMP Traffic Analyst
 
Police would like to notify the motoring public that the Cobequid Road is reduced to one lane of traffic until further notice.
