Police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in Halifax last night.

At approximately 5:50 p.m., police responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision in the area of Melwood Avenue and Herring Cove Road in Halifax. A vehicle travelling on Herring Cove Road struck a pedestrian crossing the road. The pedestrian, a 14-year-old youth was transported to the hospital by EHS with what are believed to be serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
