The Mayor’s Ride aims to promote cycling and to celebrate active transportation in the Halifax Regional Municipality. This year’s ride begins at Acadia Park in Lower Sackville, proceeds along the Little Sackville River Greenway and returns to Acadia Park via the Greenway.

The theme for this year’s Bike Week is Going Further, Together. Participants are encouraged to come out and enjoy connecting with others from their community for this low-stress ride. Participants must bring their own bicycle and helmet.

When: Thursday, June 6 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Acadia Park, 650 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville

Following the ride, a BBQ will be hosted by the Sackville Business Association to celebrate. All are invited to attend.

Halifax Harbour Bridges will provide a free shuttle service from the Alderney Landing and Halifax Forum parking lots to the event.

The Mayor’s Ride will be escorted by RCMP and will take place rain or shine.
