Citadel High Shooting Suspect Arrested

From HRPD:

A male youth wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this week has
been arrested.

On Monday at 3:15 p.m., police responded to a report of shots being
fired on Ahern Avenue, outside Citadel High School. There were no
reported injuries. Earlier this week, investigators obtained permission
to release the identity of a male youth to the public who was wanted in
connection with this incident.

At 8:50 a.m. this morning, the 16-year-old male turned himself in at
Police Headquarters. Investigators will be speaking with him before a
decision is made as to when he will appear in court to answer to two
charges of attempt murder and eight weapons related offences. HRM
Partners in Policing would like to remind everyone that since the youth
has been arrested, he can no longer be identified.
