Parents and students in Bedford have begun to contact Education Minister Marilyn More about the location of the new high school in Bedford.

The school is to have been located near RIM and the 4 Pad Arena. It is rumoured that the province is now considering land near Farmers Dairy.

“This is not a good location,” states Bedford Councillor Tim Outhit. “HRM is not planning on enhancing the school with a community centre, unless it is centrally located in Bedford West.”

The Hammonds Plains Road was widened and upgraded with bike lanes and a sidewalk by HRM, in preparation for the rinks and the new high school.
