Skating and walking on Public Gardens’ pond not permitted

The Halifax Regional Municipality is reminding visitors of the Public Gardens to stay off the pond this winter season.

Walking and skating on Griffin’s Pond is not permitted at any time, even if the pond appears to be frozen. Restrictions are in place for the safety of park visitors.

The Public Gardens will be open this winter from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week.
