What started out as rain a few hours ago will soon turn to snow. And lots of it!
Lawnmowers were tucked away into sheds and snow shovels were dug out from faraway corners of garages.
Environment Canada has upgraded its watch to a warning.
“A developing low pressure system over the american seaboard will intensify as it moves northeastward towards Nova Scotia tonight. Scattered showers well ahead of the system will become rain this evening then change over to snow near midnight or overnight. The snow will taper off from west to east during the day Sunday. Total snowfall amounts near 10 to 15 centimetres are expected except up to 20 centimetres over northern and Eastern Nova Scotia, particularly over higher terrain,” states the Environment Canada website.
