Social Innovation Lab on Aging Seeks Participants

Government is seeking individuals with ideas and solutions from the private, public, not-for-profit and academic sectors to participate in a social innovation lab on aging.

NS GovLab will test policy, programs, service and process ideas related to the challenges and opportunities of an aging population.

“The impacts of an aging population are complex and effect everyone,” said Seniors Minister Leo Glavine. “Bringing academics, community organizations, policy-makers and businesses to the table will generate new ideas and workable solutions.

“We want to recruit a diverse group of people to explore opportunities and solutions within this demographic shift – all ages, from all parts of the province, with all levels of work and life experience.”

The one-year fellowship is made up of two phases:
— developing and testing prototypes
— integrating those skills and ideas into daily work.

Prototypes can be a product, a process, a policy, a program, or anything in between.

The selected participants will actively take part in all aspects of the lab and in making Nova Scotia a sustainable and thriving province.
