Soup & Sandwich

When I’m feeling under the weather, all I want is comfort food.

Dinner was just that!

A fried egg sandwich made on whole wheat bread – topped with bacon bits, a sprinkle of cheese – which melted quite nicely, tomato slices & baby spinach.

Served with one of my fav canned soups, PC Blue Menu Pasta E Fagioli.

Tomato broth with beans, pasta and Italian herbs and spices.

I don’t buy many canned products because they’re usually full of sodium and have little nutritional value but this is one of the exceptions.  This soup is really tasty and has 3 kinds of beans! At 160 cals, 7g protein, 5g fibre, and only 3g fat & 480mg sodium it’s a pretty good bang for your calorie buck! 😉

Dessert was a side of valley strawberries.  Can’t believe we’re still getting local berries this late in the season. Yum!

Thanks for all the feedback on my latest pics, I’m still learning to use the new lens but so far so good! 🙂

I’m starting to feel better, a day spent in curled up on the couch seems to be just what I needed.

PS.  I created an FAQ page for the blog.  I get asked a lot of the same questions so I thought it would be a good idea to create a separate section just for that.  I’ll be working on getting stuff up over the next few days.
