A month without booze: Week 3

I don’t have much to say about week 3 that I haven’t said in the last two previous weeks.  I made it through another 7 days without a drop of booze, ate well, cooked at home a lot, hit the gym, started running again, I’m down 7 lbs and I feel amazing!

I don’t think this “no booze” thing is something I want to do as a fulltime gig (I really miss a nice glass of red wine!), but I’m really enjoying not being hungover on the weekends and not eating 4 double cheeseburgers from McDicks on a Sunday (although I do miss pizza!!).  I have no urge to go out to the bars, get drunk or waste my money on crap that I don’t need.  Does this mean I’m a grown up now, finally?  Or maybe it has something (a lot) to do with the company I’ve been keeping the last few weeks too?  It’s obvious I’m past my “I’m single, let’s go out and get loaded” stage and have gotten to the “I’m happy with me” stage and I like it a lot!

The rest of my life seems to be going in the right direction as well.  I start my Fitness Theory certification on Thursday (on my way to becoming a personal trainer).  We just finished off a very successful hockey season with the kids (October Fest champs. League champs. Tournament of Champions winners. Second in Provincials. Second in SEDMHA. I’ll miss those rugrats!).  YourInnerSkinny.ca is doing well!  I just designed myself some business cards as I’m getting asked about it (the site) a lot or I just talk about it a lot, so now I’ve got some cards to give out.  I’ve got my plans underway to redesign the site.  I’m in the midst of doing a business plan for a design, marketing and web company I’m going to create under the YourInnerSkinny brand to do design, branding and web dev for the niche market of the health, fitness and nutrition industries (stay tuned, or contact me for details).  I’ve met a great girl and summer is close!  Life is pretty good!
