Stabbing at Halifax West High

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at a Halifax high school this afternoon.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance outside Halifax West High School at 283 Thomas Raddall Avenue. A group of approximately 50 youths were fighting at that location. A male youth was stabbed and taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect has been arrested and officers remain on scene. Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the incident.
