Stabbing incident on trail in Clayton Park this morning

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man who was involved in a stabbing that occurred earlier today in Halifax.

At approximately 11:45 a.m. police responded to a weapons complaint on the Mainland Linear Trail near Westridge Drive. Upon arrival, police located a man who was injured by another man who was not known to him with an edged weapon. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid to late 20s, 5’8” tall, short black hair and wearing all black clothing. The suspect was last seen walking down the path toward Main Avenue.
