Early morning break & enter at Timberlea convenience store

RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division has charged two people and, arrested another, in relation to a break and enter at a convenience store on St. Margarets Bay Rd. in Timberlea.

At approximately 4:45 a.m. yesterday morning, Halifax District RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a convenience store on St. Margarets Bay Rd. in Timberlea. RCMP officers learned that individuals involved left the scene in a Dodge Ram.

Shortly after, HRP located the vehicle, completed a traffic stop and safely arrested the three occupants of the vehicle, two men and a woman.

Everette Allan Branscombe, 45, of Halifax, has been charged with:

  • Breaking and Entering with Intent;
  • Breaking and Entering and Committing Offence (two counts);
  • Possession of Break-in Instrument;
  • Failure to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order

Christian Gordon Bennett, 36, of Halifax, has been charged with:

  • Breaking and Entering with Intent;
  • Breaking and Entering and Committing Offence (two counts);
  • Failure to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order (two counts);
  • Possession of Break-in Instrument;
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

The 34-year-old woman, of Halifax, was later released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.

Branscombe and Bennett were held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today. Both men also face additional charges in connection to additional break and enters that recently occurred in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
