Premier Stephen McNeil announced today, May 31, that Laurel Munroe has been appointed director of communications. Ms. Munroe, a former press secretary in the Premier’s Office, rejoins the office after serving for two years as the director of communications for the federal Natural Resources minister. “I am grateful Ms. Munroe has accepted this position,” said Premier McNeil.“She is a talented individual who has proven her ability at both the provincial and federal levels. I’m very pleased to have her back on the team as we continue to serve the people of Nova Scotia.” Ms. Munroe’s appointment is effective July 3.Source: Release
