B&E at Bayers Lake storage units

Police are investigating a number of break and enters into units at two self-storage locations in Halifax that occurred over the weekend.

At approximately 9:20 a.m. on September 13, police responded to a report of a break and enter not-in-progress at U-Haul Moving and Storage of Halifax located at 350 Horseshoe Lake Drive in Halifax. A suspect(s) broke into a number of storage units sometime during the overnight hours. Investigators are continuing to determine if any property was stolen from the units.

At approximately 9:40 a.m. the same day, police responded to a report a of a break and enter not-in-progress at Metro Self-Storage located at 10 Lovett Lake Court in Halifax. A suspect(s) broke into and stole items from a storage unit. A number of other units sustained damaged, but it appears they were not entered. Investigators believe the incident occurred between 5 p.m. on September 12 and 9 a.m. on September 13.

In both cases, investigators have been in contact with the people leasing the storage units.
