Storm Warning: Up to 30cm of snow expected (03/02/23 @ 6am report)

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

Total snowfall: 20 to 30 cm.

Maximum wind gusts: 60 to 80 km/h.

Locations: Halifax and Guysborough counties.

Time span: this afternoon to Friday morning.

Remarks: Snow will become heavy, at times, this evening. Gusty northeasterly winds with blowing snow are expected overnight into Friday morning.

Conditions are expected to improve later Friday morning.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
