Street Closures – Queen Street & South Street

Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that sections of Queen Street in Halifax will be closed Thursday, Nov. 13, to facilitate paving in the area.

Starting at 9 a.m., Queen Street will be closed to traffic between Green and South streets and Morris and South streets. This work is expected to last until about 7 p.m. Sections of Queen Street will be reopened as they are completed and crews will accommodate access for local traffic throughout the day.

South Street will remain open for the majority of this work; however, the section between South Park and Barrington streets will be closed for about an hour when the intersection with Queen Street is being paved. Motorists should pay attention to traffic personnel on site.

Motorists should expect delays in the area and are encouraged to use alternative routes, if possible. The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work and the temporary closures may cause.
