Suspect charged with break and enter, theft from motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and possession of a weapon in Halifax

At approximately 7am, a resident living in the 5000 block of Harris St, Halifax, observed an adult male attempting to break into his residence while he was home.

The suspect fled the area on foot. Patrol members responded to the area where it was determined that another resident in the 2300 block of Creighton St was broken into along with two vehicles parked on the street in the same area.

The suspect was eventually located in an address near by on Creighton St. where he was taken into custody by police and found to be in possession of a knife.

The accused is being held for court on charges of break and enter, theft from motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and possession of a weapon.

There were no injuries during the incident.
