Suspicious Package At Woodside Metal Shop

On Monday May 7, East members responded to the Cherubini Metal Works parking lot, 760 Pleasant Street, to a report of an abandoned black suitcase. 
Video surveillance showed a white Pontiac Aztec pulling into the parking lot at 5:08 pm and a white male, 40-50 yrs old, approximately 6 feet in height with black hair placing the suitcase on the ground.  Staff called police at 5:19 pm. requesting our assistance. After a preliminary investigation there was no reasonable explanation for the occurrence therefore 2 H.R.P. bomb disposal members were called to the scene. The suitcase was discovered to contain clothing.  Investigators will be attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle for questioning.

Suspicious package call – The person who placed the suitcase in the parking lot of a business in Dartmouth on Monday evening came forward to police and explained the circumstances surrounding this matter. Police have determined that there was nothing untoward and no longer consider this incident to be suspicious.
